The Waco

Hi guys it's Chris. in this post i will be talking a little about the plane i am building with my friend addison pemberton down at felts.

The WACO Aircraft Company of Troy, Ohio was the leading aircraft manufacturer of civilian aircraft in the U. S. from 1928 - 1935. Beginning in 1921 as the Weaver Aircraft Company in Lorain, Ohio , they moved to Troy in 1924 and became the Advance Aircraft Company but kept the WACO logo. In 1929, the name was changed to simply the WACO Aircraft Company.
WACO produced over 80 models during the years 1919 - 1946, including the large troop carrying gliders used in all the major invasions during WWII. The best selling WACO was the Model 10, with over 1100 being produced from 1927 - 1930. During the years 1939 - 1942, WACO also built just over 600 Model UPF-7's for the CAA and the Civilian Pilot Training program. WACOs were also popular around the world and sold airplanes to 37 different countries with Brazil being the largest buyer.
WACOs were purchased for many different uses. The WACO Taperwing Models ATO and CTO were known for their outstanding acrobatic abilities and were also used for air racing. WACO won the 1928 and 1929 Ford Reliability Tour also known as the National Air Tour. One WACO was even invited to participate in the Paris International Air Show in 1936 where it won first in the acrobatic events. Other WACOs were purchased and used for military fighters in Central and South American countries such as Uruguay, Nicaragua, Brazil, Argentina, El Salvador and Cuba. Many wealthy sportsmen also purchased WACOs such as Howard Hughes, Roscoe Turner, Gar Wood, Powell Crosley, Jackie Cochran, and Henry King, just to name a few. Over the past 20 years, the WACO Historic Society has organized to preserve the history of the company and its airplanes.

runescape tip of week for under lvl 40 and over lvl 40 who need to make money

Noob tip of the week
This week i have a tip for new non member player under lvl 40 and a tip for players over 40 who want to make some real money, but for that it will require some fishing and magic skill. For people under lvl 40 i would recommend killing cows and chickens across the bridge from lumbridge. Take the feathers from the chickens and the cowhides from the cows. collect feathers until you have about 5k and collect cowhides until you have at least .5k or 1k cowhides. this will earn you about 50,000 or 100,000 or even more!!! For the players over lvl 40 i would recomend catching lobsters. you need 40 fishing and if you want it to go quicker then i would get lvl 27 mag so that you can get falador teleport. what you do is you get 2 lobster cages you carry an airstaff and bring an even number of law runes and water runes( 30-40 depending on how long you want to catch lobsters) but wait there's more, you have to also carry 30 coins for the boat ride to karmaja. ( go to port sarim and right click on sialor and click pay fare) after you get to the island you head west then when you get to the gate of the jungle head east until you see fishing signs on your map and waalaa! you're here! the other place to go that is great to go for easy money is rune huntin. Believe it or not there r places on the runescape map where runes just keep on poppin up! But! It is in the middle of the wilderness so i would bring food and NO armour or valuable weapons. There are reverents that pop up and only a few peoplw ever kill them. i killed one once when. i used a reverent spell but i had lobsters and everything! this is only a quest for the brave ones. it is really hard to explain where to go, so click on your world map under you player map ( big world globe button) and go up from varrock city until you find warriors fortress. ( warning! there are lvl 7 black soldiers all over the place but after awile they stop attacking and get used to you. how you get to the runes is you just follow the hallways until you can't go anywhere else( the castle is only 1 floor). i hope i helped you guys out and if you have any questions email me at ChrisHartis@gmail.comsee yaaaaaaaaaa!

amazing plane crash

This took place up by Talkeetna. The photos were taken by an friend of mine who was out flying enjoying the beautiful weather and heard the mayday distress call over the radio. He happened to be in the area of the accident but couldn’t land because he didn’t have skis on his plane. Apparently the teetering plane attempted to land without testing the snow first or doing a flyby to see what was at the end of the landing path. There was 4-6-inches of crusted ice on top of the snow so the plane could not stop…it kept sliding until it slid off the top of the mountain. Instead of applying full power and taking off the pilot shut it down. Had it not hung up on the ledge it would have been a 4000 foot plunge to the bottom. Once the two guys and the pilot crawled out the pilot had to climb back in to call flight service and request a rescue since the ELT wasn’t accessible. 30 minutes later a plane with an ”experienced” pilot from Talkeetna rescue picked them up. They were going to attempt to retrieve the plane sometime today. All this for a day of back country skiing. I think I would rather stick to the chair lift.
